Sony has talked about its next-gen PlayStation 4 console and revealed that the life cycle of the device will be similar to the one of the PlayStation 3, which is nearing its seventh year of availability.

The PlayStation 4 is set to make its debut in November of this year, more specifically on November 15 in North America, and November 29 in Europe.

As such, Sony has begun to hype up its next-gen console even more, so that all gamers know about it, its powerful hardware, and its launch-day games.

While talking about the PS4 with OPM UK, Lead Architect Mark Cerny confirmed that Sony expected the PS4's life cycle to be quite similar to the PlayStation 3 one.

In case you forgot, the PS3 started rolling out back in November of 2006 and is still going strong, as quite a few games are scheduled to appear for it in the following years.
