Until recently video games were the only ones to get official teaser trailers from their developers, but the trend seems to have been extended to home consoles, and now the PlayStation 4 has an official trailer for the upcoming Gamescom 2014 event.

The footage shows a close-up of some blood as it hits a snowflake and the team at Sony has not offered any description for the video and has not delivered any other hint about the coming reveal.

The full announcement will be made during the coming Gamescom 2014 event in Cologne, which will take place between August 13 to 17.

At the moment fans of the PlayStation 4 are suggesting that Sony might be getting ready to re-reveal an older title, called Until Dawn, which was first shown in 2012 and was supposed to offer a complex horror experience.

A recent trademark has also hinted that the experiences was being remade for the PS4, and there were also rumors that it was being adapted to work with the Project Morpheus virtual reality headset prototype.

Sony has also promised that it will offer more information on upcoming exclusive titles at Gamescome and Microsoft has also launched an official trailer for the Xbox One, also teasing big announcements.
