14 DAY TRIAL // Phil Harrison, the executive leading the Microsoft Studios, says that he is interested in bringing the Gears of War franchise to the Xbox One home console, but the decision rests with developer Epic Games for now.
He tells Kotaku that, “I'm a huge fan of the franchise. I want to continue to work with Gears. I think there's a lot of life left in that franchise.”
Harrison says that he has recently talked to the leadership of Epic Games and they currently have nothing to announce linked to their main video game franchise.
The company is currently working on a new game engine, which will be first shown powering Fortnite, designed to take advantage of the increased power of the PC and next-gen consoles.
Epic seems to be currently focused on creating new tech and any new game projects might be handled by secondary teams, like the studio that made Bulletstorm.
