SEGA's new Phantasy Star Online 2 video indicates that crafting will not only be limited to weapons, but will offer a host of other options as well, the crafting system proving to be quite complex.

The previously released video only showcased weapon crafting, allowing players to power up their low-ranking weapons and units, working on 1 to 10 star items. The crafting system also has a small chance to offer great bonuses to the crafted items.

The new video shows that the crafting stations can improve other items as well, and even skills units and tactics can be modified. The crafting system also introduces the chance to make a previously limited item equipable by other classes.

The system does not seem to have any downsides or risks, crafting being always successful.

These additions will certainly open a new world of options to players, especially since crafting can also imbue items with abilities such as passive hit point regeneration or technics buffs.
