Payday 2 will receive a special downloadable content pack inspired by the Hotline Miami video game, according to a new video released by developer Overkill Software.

Payday 2 has been around for over a year, and during this time, the cooperative first-person shooter has received a lot of different DLC packs from developer Overkill, ranging from free updates that added fresh heists, guns, masks, and gear, to paid ones that delivered unique items and bigger adventures.

Now, the next big expansion for Payday 2 has just been revealed through a mysterious trailer. The footage confirms that the DLC is inspired by the Hotline Miami video game made by Dennaton, as apparently Overkill has a great relationship with the indie staff.

The Payday 2 Hotline Miami DLC is set to debut on September 30, according to the video's description, and is going to include at least one all-new heist. More details are going to be revealed at the end of the month, so expect to see another video and some more teaser statements until then.

In the meantime, check out the great and pretty bloody live action video below, all set to the main theme of Hotline Miami, which certainly brings back memories to fans of the indie project.
