Grinding Gear Games has announced that it will launch a public test for the indie action role-playing game Path of Exile, starting at 5 PM Pacific Daylight Time on July 27 and set to end at 11:59 PDT on Sunday, July 29.

Chris Wilson, who is a producer at Grinding Gear Games, stated, “The Path of Exile community has been growing rapidly and always give us valuable gameplay feedback. We’re particularly looking forward to their feedback on our new end-game content.”

He added, “Two of the most important things in action RPGs are items and the end-game. Almost everything in Path of Exile, including skills, can be itemized, traded and upgraded. We thought it would be cool to design the end-game the same way - as itemised areas that players can trade, modify and build characters around.”

The public access period will include special events and will allow gamers to battle a new boss fight in the second act of the game.
