Fredrik Wester, the leader of Paradox Interactive, says that his company has plans to launch games in the future on the Xbox One from Microsoft and the PlayStation 4 from Sony, especially given that the platforms offer a lot of options for digital distribution.

He is quoted by ShackNews as telling the audience at the Paradox Convention that, “You can be a truly digital publisher on the new consoles. “Previously were closed systems, but now I feel like they’re focusing on giving gamers better experiences.”

It’s unclear whether any of the console titles will be launched in 2014 and the publisher also wants to deliver some of its titles on mobile devices.

Paradox Interactive has announced that it is working on Hearts of Iron IV, which is set to be launched in 2015, a new expansion called Rajas of Indie for Crusader Kings II, with an expanded map, and a new expansion for Europa Universalis IV, called Wealth of Nations.
