The 2007 PlayStation Network game Pain is now being relaunched as a free-to-play title and will again offer players the chance to experience the physics-based action.

The announcement was made by Sony at the Brazil Game Show with the additional information that Argentina-based studio QB9 would deal with the game's launch.

Initially, the title was released for PSN back in 2007, and had quite a lot of success. This led to a Blu-ray release which gathered all associated DLC, one that even included David Hasselhoff and Flavor Flav characters.

No details on the exact date of Sony's launch have been offered, but the game can still be purchased at the moment.

Pain isn't the only title that will be released as a free-to-play by Sony, others being expected as well. Among the names, players can find LittleBigPlanet Hub and Blacklight: Retribution.
