Sony has just kicked off the Spring Fever promotion on the North American PlayStation Store, through which it celebrates the release of four impressive independent games for PS3 and PS Vita, while offering discounts for other already-released games.

Independent games have always found a great home on the PlayStation Network and, in order to promote the release of four great titles, yesterday Sony kicked off the annual PSN Spring Fever campaign.

Starting yesterday and ending on May 6, the Spring Fever brings four impressive indie games, in the form of Guacamelee, Dragon Fantasy Book I, Thomas Was Alone, and Zombie Tycoon 2: Brainhov's Revenge.

PS Plus members can get these games for 20% off and for them Zombie Tycoon 2 will be free because it's set to be included in the Instant Game Collection this month.

What's more, each week different franchises will go on sale, including Borderlands, Grand Theft Auto, Resident Evil, and PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, according to the PS blog.

Every week until the end of the month – April 9, April 16, April 23, and April 30 – will see the release of a new indie game and the start of a specific sale.
