Next-gen sales figures for France have just appeared online and it seems that the PS4 has once again beaten the Xbox One, as Sony sold 240,000 units in the European country until December 31, as opposed to Microsoft's 126,000 result.

The PS4 and Xbox One are engaged in a big war worldwide and, while the PS4 is leading overall, Microsoft's Xbox One did sell better in the U.S. during December.

Now, sales figures from France have appeared online, via GameBlog, and they show a distinct preference of French gamers for the PS4.

From the release of the two devices until December 31, 2013, data from GfK shows that 239,998 PS4 consoles were sold in the European country. In that same time frame, just 126,201 Xbox One units were sold.

The PS4 also beat the Xbox One in Germany, according to a survey from last week.
