The highly anticipated update 2.0 to the PlayStation 4’s firmware is due to come out on October 28, and a new set of yet unannounced features leaked.

The update, codenamed Masamune, is set to come out this coming Tuesday, enabling PS4 owners to enjoy a richer experience, complete with more themes, Share Play features, USB Music Player, new home screen colors and a lot of other neat additions.

However, it seems that Sony is preparing to add more than has been previously disclosed, as according to an online report, gamers will be able to set their PlayStation Network status to Online, Busy or Hide, after patch 2.0 is out.

The leak comes from an IGN video on Share Play, unwittingly showing some of the features in action, such as support for new voice commands like Start PlayStation Store, Start Notifications, Start Friends, Start Messages, Start Party, Start Profile, Start Trophies, Start Settings, Start Power, and Start Take Screenshot Log.

For the time being, Sony has not issued any official statements regarding the leaked features, but we’ll come back with the news as soon as they get confirmed.

Sony hasn’t been doing as good a job as Microsoft when it comes to firmware updates for its newest home console, and this might be a surprise meant to make up for some of the featureless updates issued over the course of the past several months.
