Matt Southern, the leader of Evolution Studios, says that the development teams working with Sony were invited to offer feedback on the PlayStation 3 during 2012, without suspecting that their information will be used to design the next Sony home console.

VG247 quotes the developer explaining, “We all had a secret meeting after E3 last summer and shared our own prototypes, we called it our science fair.”

He adds, “There was lots of very open feedback and constructive criticism from a wide variety of studios.”

Evolution Studios is working on Drive Club, the first racing title for the PlayStation 4, which will focus on team-based multiplayer events and on careful simulation for the best cars in the world.

Recently Polyphony Software suggested that Gran Turismo 6 will be launched during 2013, but only on the PlayStation 3 console.
