Sony has just confirmed that it's going to release a PlayStation Vita TV device, which will play PS Vita and PSP games on a connected TV. It will also grant users access to different entertainment services, and works with the PlayStation 4 next-gen console.

Sony has just ended its Tokyo Games Show 2013 press conference with a surprise announcement, in the form of the PS Vita TV, a special little device that can be connected to a TV and allows for different experiences.

These include playing games made for PS Vita or PSP and accessing entertainment services and networks, like Hulu, and even works via Remote Play with a PlayStation 4.

The PS Vita TV is a very small device that will be sold either as is, or with a white DualShock 3 controller and a 8GB memory card.

One of the standout features is that it will act as a sort of repeater for the PlayStation 4. If the next-gen console is connected to a TV in the house, and the PS Vita TV to another one, people can play PS4 games on the TV that's connected to the PS Vita TV.

The device is out on November 14 in Japan for 9,954 yen (around 100 USD or 76 EUR).
