Sony has confirmed that it's going to reveal the list of free games coming to PlayStation Plus subscribers around the October 1 date, while the actual titles will be available for members on October 8.

The PlayStation Plus membership is paying off in spades for users who own a PS4, PS3, or PS Vita console, as Sony is consistently offering plenty of free games, discounts, and other advantages to those who subscribe to the service.

For the month of October, the games that will be available for free have yet to be announced, but Sony has now confirmed that their reveal is set to take place around the October 1 mark.

The games will be announced at that time and they're expected to become available via the PS Plus section on the PlayStation Store on October 8, according to the PS blog.

Bear in mind that PS4 owners will be treated to a bonus game in addition to the Driveclub PS Plus edition, which will launch at that same time worldwide for the new home console. Meanwhile, PS3 and PS Vita owners can still look forward to their regular two free games per each platform next month.

Until then, you can expect to hear some rumors floating around the web.
