A small, 18 MB patch went out to The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim via Steam, which was designed to make the executable file of the game more secure and has the side effect of disabling the mod which allowed for more than 2 GB of RAM to be used.

The mod has been updated to work around the main .exe file and the new version can be found here.

Those players who used LAA commented that it was a good way for those with high end gaming machines to prevent some crashes and make the game run smoother.

The LAA was especially useful for those who are also willing to use a number of mods with their Skyrim, including those that boost the resolution of some structure and character textures.

Bethesda has promised a major patch for the new Elder Scrolls video game, set to arrive the week after Thanksgiving on the PlayStation 3, the Xbox 360 and the PC, fixing texture problems, glitches and the save game size bug.
