Company CEO believes it takes time for them to act

Julie Uhrman, the chief executive officer of Ouya, says that she expects big video game publishers like Activision, Electronic Arts and Ubisoft to launch titles on the Android-powered device in the future.

VG247 quotes the executive as explaining that big companies have a lot of organizational inertia to deal with and need time before they back a new and innovative product.

She says that, “The reason I don’t have a Call of Duty or a Madden or a FIFA on Ouya is because there’s a perfectly good place to play those games today. When those publishers come to us, they’re going to bring the perfect games our platform.”

The Ouya sold out when it was launched earlier during the year and the team working on the device announces that it plans to launch an improved version in 2014, which will include a software upgrade and tweaked controllers.
