The team working on the Origin digital distribution service at Electronic Arts announces a new program called Great Game Guarantee which allows users to ask for refunds for any game that they buy through the program.

There are three time frames for a request: within 24 hours after the game was first launched on the gamer’s PC, within seven days after the purchase and within the first week after release if a pre-order was placed.

If the player is outside any of these conditions, he cannot request a refund from Origin.

The official announcement states, “Requesting a refund is quick and easy. Just visit your order history and click the ‘request a refund’ link next to your recent purchase, answer a few quick questions, and we’ll take it from there.”

At the moment, the Origin Great Game Guarantee is live in 20 countries and will be offered all over the world in a few weeks.
