Developer Omega Force and publisher Bandai Namco Games have announced that One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 will be making its way to the west sometime this summer.

The game is based on the popular One Piece manga and was launched in Japan last week to great success. As the series has been pretty popular on western markets so far, Omega Force decided to reward the loyalty of its fans with the third installment in the series, packed with a ton of new gameplay features, new characters, and a brand new story to explore.

The brave adventurers will start out in Fuschia village and will have to head to the kingdom of Dressrosa, in order to take down the evil Donquixote Doflamingo.

One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 will mark the debut of Sabo, Luffy's brother from the manga, and will see the return of many playable characters that fans of the series love, including Shanks of the Red-Haired Pirates, as well as Lucci, Moria, Tashigi, Magellan and Ivankon.

The game comes with a bunch of fresh features, a new game mode separate from the main campaign, and players will also be able to perform a special move during combat, summoning another character alongside them, in order to perform a combination attack.

Luffy and the Strawhat Crew will be making their journey to western PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita devices in August 2015.
