Sony confirmed that all local PlayStation 4 user accounts will be able to access online multiplayer if at least one of them has an active Plus subscription.

Among the biggest changes introduced by the PS4 as opposed to the current PS3 is that owners will need to have a PlayStation Plus subscription in order to access the online multiplayer of their different games.

While the news saddened some users, things aren't that bad for families or for friends who all use the same console, as Sony's Shuhei Yoshida confirmed on Twitter that the Plus-enabled multiplayer access is shared locally.

As such, on a PS4 with multiple user accounts, all of them will be allowed to play online as long as at least one of them has a valid Plus subscription.

This, coupled with the array of advantages PS Plus users enjoy on the PS3 and PS Vita, will certainly make up for its requirement.
