Developer Young Horses has announced that their quirky cephalopod-sporting video game Octodad: Dadliest Catch will land on the PlayStation 4 in April.
The game revolves around a silly concept of an octopus posing as a human, and has players struggle with the awkward controls of the uncooperative boneless tentacles in order to perform mundane tasks, so as not to reveal the protagonist's hidden true nature.
After the game's launch for Windows, Mac OS and Linux earlier this year in January, the independent studio initially offered a PlayStation 4 release window of March 2014.
The news of the pushback came via a tweet from the small studio, stating that they want to take the time to work out all the kinks for their first ever console release.
Young Horses is also considering delivering Octodad: Dadliest Catch to the Xbox One console, and has stated that the team currently has no plans involving the Wii U or PlayStation 3.
Basically all you need to know is this is our first ever console release and we want to do it right the first time.
