The development team at Robot Entertainment offers details on the new Norse civilization that it will add to their free-to-play strategy game Age of Empires Online before the end of the month.

The new units that will be unique to the Norse civ include the war dog, the berserker, the throwing axeman, the raider, the seer and the Chief.

Their unique structures are the longhouse and the outpost, designed to give the Norse civilization more options when it comes to warfare.

Gamers who are interested in playing the new civilization will have to either play Age of Empires Online in order to earn access or they can use real-world money in order to buy them outright.

The game, the final incarnation of the long-running strategy series, launched with support for just two civs, the Egyptians and the Greeks, and since then the developers have added the Celts, the Persians and the Babylonians.
