PS4 owners will not be able to try out the game for free

Sucker Punch Productions has confirmed that it won't release a demo for its upcoming Infamous: Second Son game on the PS4 mainly because it's quite hard to offer a short trial of a big open world experience.

Infamous: Second Son launches later this month for the PS4 and developer Sucker Punch is quite eager to finally offer players its brand new title, which stars a new protagonist, in the form of Delsin Rowe, and features a new open world, in the form of Seattle.

Unfortunately, there won't be a free trial for Infamous: Second Son, as brand development director Ken Schramm told Videogamer that a demo wouldn't exactly do the game any justice.

"I don't think we're going to have a demo," he said. "It's hard to have a demo with an open world game to be honest with you. You what, pick two missions out of the whole thing then you give them a little slice of the world, you got to make all these walls? I don't think [having a demo] does justice to an open-world game."

As such, the only way to experience Infamous: Second Son on the PS4 is to buy it.

The game will make its global debut on March 21 exclusively for Sony's new platform.
