Evolution focused on the full game, instead of a trial

Driveclub Creative Director Paul Rustchynsky has confirmed that the upcoming PS4 exclusive racing game won't have a playable demo for all owners to try out, although he did confirm that select stores would feature playable builds for shoppers to experience.

Driveclub is among the few PS4 exclusive games set to appear this fall, and after almost a year-long delay, developer Evolution Studios is eager to demonstrate that its racing experience is worth the wait.

After revealing plenty of gameplay videos, screenshots, and other such details about its mechanics, director Paul Rustchynsky has started answering questions from fans on Twitter.

Among them was the inquiry about a demo for Driveclub that might appear ahead of the game's early October launch on the PS4 platform.

According to the developer, however, such a thing isn't happening, meaning PS4 owners won't be able to download a trial and play on their own home console.

However, those who want to try before they buy can visit different stores, such as those from GameStop in North America or Game in the UK, where playable builds will be set up with Driveclub.

PS Plus owners will also be able to try out the game for free, as the Driveclub PS Plus edition is going to launch right alongside the full version of the title.

@JimmySmosh There won't be a demo to download, but a lot of retailers such as Game and GameStop should have a small demo in store. — Paul Rustchynsky (@Rushy33) September 14, 2014
