The PlayStation 4 will get a number of interesting new features, including instant game streaming, Vita Remote Play and spectator mode, and many gamers are asking whether Sony is planning to charge users for them.

Shuhei Yoshida, one of the Sony executives offering info on the new device, tells Gamespot that “We totally believe that we want to provide more functionality and more services and more content on the network. And so we are looking at how we are going to structure that.”

He adds, “And we are not ready to talk about that.”

The answer might add credibility to rumors that the most interesting features will only be added to the Plus tier of the PlayStation Network, with a diminished feature set for those who stick to the free version.

The PlayStation 4 will be launched before Christmas, although the European release might slip into 2014.
