Nival is an independent video games developer headquartered in Moscow, with a long tradition of quality titles and more than 17 years of industry experience.

They are best known for making Rage of Mages, Etherlords, Heroes of Might and Magic V and the Allods Online MMORPG.

With the support offered from venture capital firm Almaz Capital, Nival is now looking to take the Prime World franchise worldwide, as reported by GamaSutra.

Nival's previous investors, apart from the majority stake holder CEO and founder Sergey Orlovskiy, are 1C, a leading Russian software distributor and Mail.ru, one of the biggest internet companies in Russia.

The studio is currently working on its new free-to-play franchise Prime World, featuring cross-platform tower defense game Prime World: Defenders and the PC role-playing strategy game Prime World, as well as several unannounced titles, according to the official announcement.

“Our partnership is a clear fit between two award winning companies with proven strategies for success,” the CEO of Nival Entertainment commented on acquiring the new funds.
