The team at Nintendo in charge of the eShop service for the Wii U and the 3DS is issuing an apology for the problems that have affected it during the past few days and says that they will all soon be resolved.

The company states via its official Twitter account that, “We apologize for the continued interruption of Nintendo eShop service and are working to resolve the situation. Thanks for your patience.”

Nintendo is not saying what the reasons for the eShop downtime are or exactly when it plans for the problems to be solved.

The company has recently announced that it plans to launch more titles as digital downloads in the coming months in order to increase overall sales for both the Wii U home console and the 3DS handheld.

Nintendo’s digital strategy is a response to those implemented by Microsoft on the Xbox One and Sony on the PlayStation 4.
