Enterbrain, the publisher of the Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu, has announced that for the month of January video game sales in the country have been dominated by titles launched on the new Nintendo 3DS handheld.

The top ten includes:

Mario Kart 7 - 388,760 Monster Hunter 3G - 319,037 Super Mario 3D Land - 298,529 Armored Core V - 170,237 Resident Evil: Revelations - 160,575 Musou Orochi 2 - 158,775 Inazuma Eleven Go - 145,436 Just Dance - 97,848 Final Fantasy XIII-2 - 97,359 Super Robot Taisen OG Saga Masou Kishin II - 95,621

Nintendo must be pretty happy to see three of the games for the 3DS to dominate the video game chart, given that until recently the handheld seemed to be destined to struggle on the home market.

The company has promised to deliver more video games for the device in the coming months, although some of the resources that Nintendo has at its disposal will need to be redirected in order to support the upcoming launch of the Wii U home console.
