It will use Unreal Engine 3 and might be a flight simulation

LucasArts has announced that it will be officially revealing a new video game linked to the Star Wars universe during the upcoming E3 2012 event, with a teaser for it being first shown during may 31 on Spike TV.

The company did not offer any sort of information on the game and refused to let the fan base know whether the new game experience would have a lightsaber duel mechanic or what epoch of Star Wars it will be based on.

LucasArts has recently announced a deal with Epic Games to use Unreal Engine 3 for a couple of new titles, but the company offered no information on how it would be used.

Rumors have suggested that the company is creating a new space combat simulation, which might mean that the Star Wars: TIE Fighter series will be revived.

LucasArts could also be working on a new game based on the current Star Wars: Clone Wars animation.
