A brand new dashboard update for the Xbox 360 is currently being rolled out to users via Xbox Live and it should fix some issues when using Xbox SmartGlass, Xbox Music or Xbox Video.

The Xbox 360 received lots of great features thanks to a recent system software update, including support for all sorts of new technologies and new apps like the Internet Explorer web browser.

Now, Xbox community manager Larry Hryb has confirmed on his blog that a brand new dashboard update is being rolled out for the Xbox 360 via Xbox Live.

The firmware update is mandatory and brings some fixes to a few issues encountered by Xbox 360 owners with some of the new services.

"In this update, we are correcting some issues such as displaying the incorrect playlist name when launching a playlist from Xbox SmartGlass to the console, an error with Xbox Video closed-captioning and an error with Xbox Music that some were experiencing," Hryb said.

The brand new dashboard update is being rolled out and you'll receive a prompt to update your console's software today, November 27.
