The development team working on the new Thief video game at Eidos Montreal announces that it will deliver versions of the stealth-based title for the current-gen Xbox 360 from Microsoft and the PlayStation 3 from Sony.

The announcement is made by Eidos Montreal Community Manager Adam Badke and by Senior Producer Stephane Roy.

The pair says that current-gen development is being handled in-house and that the core gameplay elements will be the same on all platforms.

Thief will be out at some point in 2014 and the best experience for players will be on the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4.

Stephane Roy says that some aspects of the Thief world might be smaller on current-generation versions and the team might also have to make some cuts on the graphics front.
