The stealth-oriented action game stars a grumpy goblin

Developer Cyanide Studios has teased an upcoming sequel to this year’s stealth adventure video game Styx: Master of Shadows, via a short and pretty silly video.

The video, as is always the case with Styx, features murder and misdirection, but this time around it also boasts a corny Christmas hat, because it’s the perfect time of year to say “Ho Ho Homicide.”

The video ends with a message informing that Styx will be back in a brand new adventure and provides no timeframe for when that will be. It’s not the most detailed way to make an announcement, but it’s functional and goes hand in hand with the tongue-in-cheek style of Cyanide’s other Styx videos.

The game is based on Of Orcs and Men, Cyanide’s previous role-playing game, but this time around the focus is less on burly orcs swinging huge axes and more on hiding beneath dinner tables and stabbing people in the eyeballs when they’re not paying attention.

The game was considered mediocre by a lot of gamers, but given its price point and interesting stealth mechanics, it also garnered some attention from fans of the genre.
