A new Sonic-themed video game is currently in development at SEGA and will be launched on the PlayStation 4 from Sony, the Xbox One from Microsoft and the Nintendo-made Wii U at some point in 2015.

The information comes from a sign that was used during the recent Nuremberg Toy Fair, which also offers information on other games that will feature the character, according to Sonic Stadium.

SEGA has already confirmed that it is working on three titles that will be offered on Nintendo-made devices.

There are no details offered on the kind of gameplay or the story that will be offered by the new Sonic experience.

The publisher has not officially commented on the image.

The company is trying to leverage Sonic, one of the biggest video game properties it owns, but the games launched in the last few years have failed to satisfy long-term fans.
