The new Pokemon game that’s set to be launched on the Nintendo 3DS handheld is designed to focus on the character of Pikachu, who is set to serve as a side kick to gamers who are willing to take on the role of a detective.

Serebii says that a Japanese television show offered the first details on the game while chronicling the career of Tsunekaz Ishihara, the chief executive officer of the Pokemon Company.

The new experience will focus on a rare and evil version of Pikachu that becomes powerful and needs to be defeated by a human that works with the original version of the creature.

It seems that work on the 3DS Pokemon title has been going on for the past two years.

It currently has no launch date and it’s unclear whether it will ever be released on Western markets.

Pokemon X & Y has already managed to sell more than 4 million copies all over the world.
