The new Nintendo 3DS and 3DS XL are coming out on Japan in less than a month, and the corporation has already started promoting them, in order to build up hype.

Nintendo has released a brand new video ad meant to showcase the new designs, as well as the new buttons and features, delivering a breakdown of the hardware's improvements over the predecessors in each line, both inside and out.

The new models come with an extra analog stick, as well as with Amiibo compatibility right out of the box, not requiring any special hardware or anything else, and offer better 3D imaging by tracking the face of the player in real time, no longer constraining you to find the device's sweet spot and freeze in place.

For the time being, there is no word on when the new Nintendo 3DS and 3DS XL models are making their way to the west, both Europe and North America having just a tentative 2015 release listed.

However, the company has revealed that the first region outside of Japan to get the new Nintendo 3DS will be Australia, on November 21, which means that there is genuine hope that they'll make their way over pretty fast, and western fans will get to enjoy the new features as well.
