The development team at Ubisoft in charge of Far Cry 3 says that it is currently working on a new patch for the shooter that will allow players to choose which elements of the Heads Up Display and the user interface to keep and which to turn off.

A Ubisoft developer tells Kotaku that, “Based on feedback from both press and fans, the Far Cry 3 production team is working on a patch that will allow you to toggle most HUD/UI elements based on player preference. The patch will also avoid issues encountered in the .dll hack that might create a mission walkthrough break (missing QTE prompts, critical information, etc;).”

The company promises more news soon but there’s no clear date for launch at the moment.

Far Cry 3 recently received patch 1.02, which fixes many stability problems and improves matchmaking.
