The license is now held by Nordic Games along with that for Red Faction

Some of the former developers of the Darksiders franchise are happy to see it find a new home at Nordic Games and are offering advice on what the new title could bring to players.

Ryan Stefanelli, one of the co-founders of Vigil Games, writes on the forums of the game: “”Do what we would've done: let people know what happens when those other three comets land on Earth! Four player co-op or bust!”

Ben Cureton, who designed the combat of Darksiders, believes that whatever development team picks up the series needs to focus on the elements that have made it great initially, like scale, solid voice acting and fast-paced battles.

Nordic Games has announced earlier in the week that it has acquired both Darksiders and Red Faction from THQ and that it has plans to create a sequel as soon as possible.
