Activision, surprising no one, has just confirmed the it's going to release a brand new Call of Duty game later this year.
Activision's Call of Duty franchise makes a whole lot of money for the successful publisher, raking in hundreds of millions of dollars from all over the world in sales.
While it's obvious that new releases will come out each year, Activision has just confirmed that a new Call of Duty game will be released in late 2013.
According to the publisher, via CVG, the new title will raise the innovation bar even higher but, due to the upcoming transition to next-generation consoles, the company expects to make less money than with previous releases.
As of yet, no other details are known, although it stands to reason that this year's game will be Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4.
