A brand new update for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive has just been released by Valve to fix some of the recent performance issues inside the multiplayer shooter, but unfortunately, the new patch apparently also causes a fresh crash when players connect to official servers.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive has been growing by leaps and bounds in recent years, with Valve bringing its traditional constant update cycle to the game, while sponsoring major eSports tournaments for the popular first-person shooter, in order to improve its popularity.

However, one of the latest updates, which just went live a few hours ago, seems to cause more harm than good.

The patch is designed to fix performance problems when players view the scoreboard and other such elements in the game, as apparently many were reporting framerate drops and even slight freezes when they did such things.

However, in addition to this major improvement, the patch also causes a new crash situation, as reported by many fans on Reddit. The problem happens when they enter an official Valve server at different times, either when they spawn and summon the buy menu, or directly upon connection.

No solution is known just yet and Valve hasn't released another update to fix the issue at least until now.
