Valve has released one of its most intriguing updates yet for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, bringing forth music kits to the first-person shooter, allowing players to buy select song packs that offer fresh alternatives to the regular in-game music.

CS:GO has slowly but surely returned to the glory enjoyed by its predecessors, such as Counter-Strike 1.6 or Counter-Strike: Source, finding popularity both among players and eSports competitions from around the world.

Valve has constantly updated the game with new features and tweaks, and the latest patch is certainly quite intriguing, as it adds the new "music kit" system, according to the official website.

More specifically, players can now buy straight from the game or through the community market music kits that contain fresh songs to replace the main menu theme, the round start and round end tracks, and much more.

Right now, there are nine music kits available in the game for purchase, while the all players should find in their inventory the regular CS:GO Music Kit that contains the current songs.

If a player on your team has a new music kit, you can listen to it by clicking on the scoreboard options.

Besides this interesting feature, the new patch also fixes the grenade tagging system, while making a few other tweaks to the popular shooter.

The demo is now available for download via Steam and weighs in at around 120MB.
