A brand new and quite massive report is available online relating to a fresh installment in the classic Banjo-Kazooie series, which might be announced at E3 2015 next summer.

The Banjo-Kazooie franchise has been around for quite some time, with the very first installment making its debut in 1998 for the Nintendo64 thanks to developer Rare. After several installments, the franchise switched owners multiple times, going from Nintendo to THQ, and finally ending up at Microsoft, which acquired Rare altogether many years ago.

After the relatively good Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts for Xbox 360 in 2008, the series entered hibernation, what with Rare focusing on Kinect titles and other such things.

Now, thanks to a new report via NeoGAF, it seems that the franchise might come back to life, as apparently a major announcement planned for E3 2015 next summer will be a Banjo-Kazooie game for the Xbox One.

No other details have been revealed, and at least for now, the report is sketchy to say the least.

However, it stands to reason that Rare might go back to Banjo Kazooie, what with completing work on Kinect Sports Rivals for the Xbox One earlier this year. Unfortunately, it's unlikely that Microsoft or Rare will confirm anything until E3 2015, which is set to take place in early June of next year.
