Free-to-play titles like Electronic Arts’ Need for Speed World online racing game rely on making money by selling to players various in-game goods, like race cars, to improve gain an advantage over rivals.

Now, it seems things have taken a turn for the extreme, as EA has just deployed the very special Koenigsegg CCX ‘Elite’ Edition, which costs a whopping $100 (€77).

If you might actually consider this, EA is offering a 25 percent discount until December 21, which means you’ll ‘only’ have to pay a totally reasonable $75 (€57).

Don’t think this Koenigsegg CCX will just be an exception, as EA plans on offering more ‘premium elite’ cars in NFS World, so really loyal players might want to save some cash this holiday season so they can buy all these in-game vehicles.

Of course, you can still play NFS World without paying anything, but don’t get upset when someone with a Koenigsegg CCX Elite will dominate you in a race.
