PS4 owners of the first-person shooter are being served ads for the NFS film

Battlefield 4 owners on the PS4 at least are reporting that the game now displays a rather annoying ad for the Need for Speed movie that's currently launching in cinemas around the world and, as you can imagine, they aren't that happy, especially since the game still has quite a few technical problems.

Battlefield 4 launched last November across many different platforms, in the form of the PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, or Xbox One, and was immediately plagued by all sorts of problems on all of the aforementioned devices.

Developer DICE did launch multiple updates and patches, but some problems continue to affect the first-person shooter's single-player campaign and its multiplayer mode.

Now, while the PS4 version still suffers from various issues, owners of Battlefield 4 on that platform are greeted when they start the game by an ad for the Need for Speed movie, as you can see in the image above, via Reddit.

As you can imagine, many owners aren't taking this lightly, as they once again see that EA is more concerned with pushing its own new products rather than actually fixing their already-released titles, like Battlefield 4.

It's unclear if this ad is appearing on other platforms or in other games, like Need for Speed: Rivals.
