Video game publisher Namco Bandai has announced that it will launch Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations on March 13 of 2012 in North America.

The game will be playable on the PlayStation 3 home console from Sony and on the Xbox 360 from Microsoft.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations is being developed by Cyber Connect2 and is based upon the well known animated series that uses the same name and is being created by Viz Media from a manga made by Masashi Kishimoto.

The game is set to emphasize the online elements of the series and will allow gamers to use more characters than in any other game in the franchise, including well known fighters like Naruto, Sasuke, Zabuza and Haku.

The title will also create a link with a number of real world collectible cards, with codes integrated that allow gamers to unlock artwork in their video games.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations does not yet have a date for an European launch.
