Mortal Kombat X is right around the corner, being scheduled for release on April 14 worldwide on PC and current-gen consoles, and developer NetherRealm Studios has released its TV spot, building even more hype around the next entry in the consecrated series.

The video, available below, urges everyone to fight and to get excited about fighting, and for good reason: the upcoming installment in the long-running series of fighting video games is set to be the most exhilarating one yet, coming with a bunch of returning popular characters and with the most new warriors yet.

The live-action TV commercial features a more fitting soundtrack than the one in the reveal trailer, in the form of System of a Down's "Chop Suey," and heralds the madness that is coming our way in just two weeks.

Players will be able to jump into the action with some of the most iconic fighters in Mortal Kombat history, as well as pick exciting newcomers such as D'Vorah, Ferra/Torr, or the offspring of established characters such as Johnny Cage, Sonya Blade and Jax.

Do note that if you plan you get Mortal Kombat X on either the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 home entertainment systems, you will have to wait until later on in the year, as the ports are developed by another team.
