Warner Bros. confirms that it's going to publish the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of Mortal Kombat X this summer, while releasing the PC, PS4, and Xbox One editions of the fighting game on the initial April 14 date.

Mortal Kombat X was revealed to the world last year, and at first, developer NetherRealm and publisher Warner Bros. only talked about the PS4 and Xbox One editions of the fighting experience. Soon after, they confirmed that a PC version is also on the way, while High Voltage Studios is working on bringing the title to the PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles.

While all versions were scheduled to launch at the same time, on April 14 worldwide, it seems that a pretty big change has been made.

Warner Bros. confirms to Videogamer that the last-gen versions of Mortal Kombat X are now set to appear in summer, as they've been delayed to ensure that High Voltage has enough time to polish them and delight owners of the old consoles.

Mortal Kombat X is still set to appear on April 14 for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One platforms, however, so those who want the fighting game on those devices have nothing to fear concerning a possible delay.
