Ed Boon, the creative director of the recently released fighting video game Mortal Kombat X, has revealed that Tanya will be coming to the title sometime in early June.

The news comes from a tweet from the dev, responding to a member of the game's fanbase who was curious about when the new character would become available.

Mortal Kombat X has introduced the most new characters in the series yet, and has been very well received by the gaming community, in spite of some nagging issues, especially on the PC platform.

It delivers a mix of skill-testing and brutal action, with satisfying combos and gruesome, graphic x-ray moves where you can break your opponent's bones, and to top it all off, with an even more gut-wrenching fatality.

Tanya is just one of the extra downloadable characters coming to MKX post-launch, following in the footsteps of Friday the 13th star Jason Voorhees.

Another exciting character that has been announced to drop by NetherRealm Studios' fighting game is Predator, the infamous alien hunter.

Along new characters, players will also be able to purchase DLC consisting of new skins for existing warriors, including some funny Russian-themed ones in the Kold War Skin Pack.

For the time being, there is no timeline for Predator, but it seems that we'll be able to get our hands on Tanya as early as the first part of June.
