Ubisoft has confirmed that it's going to share some actual details about its Assassin's Creed game for last-gen consoles like PS3 or Xbox 360 soon, according to its CEO, Yves Guillemot.

Ubisoft announced Assassin's Creed Unity earlier this year and, at E3 2014 last month, it showcased a lot of gameplay from the new title and emphasized that, due to its innovations, the game can only run on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

The studio did note that it had a surprise in store for PS3 and Xbox 360 owners, but declined to offer any other details.

Speaking in a financial earnings call, Ubisoft boss Yves Guillemot was asked about plans for Assassin's Creed on last-gen consoles and he revealed, via IGN, that more info should appear soon enough.

It's possible that Ubisoft is going to make an announcement at Gamescom 2014 in August, as the large gaming expo in Cologne, Germany, is set to see tens of thousands of gamers visit it and try out the games on display.

As of yet, however, the only rumors about the new game say it's called Assassin's Creed Comet and once again focuses on a period around the American Revolution. Expect to hear more soon enough.
