The development team at Capcom announces that the 3DS Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate application that will allow for transfers to the Wii U home console is now planned to launch at some point on March 22.

The program was supposed to arrive on March 19, when the game launched in the United States, but the company has failed to deliver it, presumably because of some sort of technical problem.

A new Twitter message from Capcom states, “We apologize for the delay in the release of the Monster Hunter 3U data transfer and 3DS relay tool apps. We expect both by Friday, 3/22.”

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate updates the mechanics of the series and the fact that the game is offered on both the Wii U and the 3DS means that players need a specialized tool to transfer saves without losing progress.
