A representative from Mojang has stated that the upcoming game from the developer, called Scrolls, will be a multiplatform release, being created using the Unity engine, which allows games to be ported to the PlayStation 3, the Xbox 360, the Nintendo Wii, the PC, the iOS powered devices and any thing that support Flash.

Initially Markus Persson, better known by his nickname Notch for his work on Minecraft, said that he was only planning to develop the game for the PC.

Scrolls is a battle game that is built around tradable cards and the developer has said some elements of the free-to-play business model will be used, with gamers able to get some elements of the game for free as long as they make the initial purchase.

The name Scrolls prompted Bethesda to sue Mojang for copyright infringement, but it seems that the legal action will not stop the indie company from creating its game under the original name.
