Shigeru Miyamoto, the man who is behind the most significant gaming franchises created by Nintendo, has announced that at the moment he is working on a entirely new, unannounced video game project, while still overseeing the work done on Pikmin 3 and on the Nintendo 3DS titles Luigi’s Mansion 2.

Speaking to Zoomin Games the developer stated, “If you ask me, ‘Is it too much pressure to try to come out with something new?’ I have to say no, I’m enjoying myself.”

The legendary designer has not said what the new game might be about or on which platform he plans to deliver the game.

Miyamoto recently caused a stir by suggesting in an interview that he was retiring from his position inside Nintendo but the company quickly stated that this was not the case and that the designer will continue to do his current job while also working on smaller game projects and mentoring a number of younger development teams.
